Cobia, Brunswick, GA, No. 1 – Photo for Nov. 4
The Cobia is a small commercial fishing boat that I photographed in 2010. Since than it has been totally scrapped. It is always sad to see old boats in this condition. They were once new and cherished helping provide someone with their livelihood in good weather and bad. Now they are old and grounded awaiting dismemberment.

Working Faces, An Overview of Photos From the Florida Keys
Working Faces in Black and White – Images by John Van Horn
Here is an overview of the Working Faces I am working on from the Florida Keys. These are all Keys waterman, making their living fishing, shrimping, lobstering, and crabbing. Most of these pictures are first posted on my Black and White Photography Blog.
A Different Perspective of John
I am always trying to present photos in different ways. I have been trying out Pano2VP (thus the watermarks on the unlicensed copy) on some of my panoramic photos and wondered how it would handle a portrait. So I picked on my photo of John again. Try playing with the + and – keys along with navigating around the photo. Also try the full screen version, key on the right. To look at some panoramics I have tried with this (I need to work on technique.) go to Panoramic Photographer.
