I am thinking of doing a photo study of River Street, Savannah at night, or may venture further into the historic district. Here is Marion May playing to an deserted Monday night. Marion has been a street performer for over three decades.

Note added 12-16-2017:
This original magazine has been updated to a preliminary photo study, Port of Savannah, A Photographic Study, available on Amazon. John is continuing to actively photographic the port area and eventually will publish a finished work.
Yes, the latest edition of John Van Horn Photo, has hit the news stands… well it is available at Blurb. Spring 2015, The Harbor, Savannah, GA: photographs of the harbor from various points along the shore and on the water.
Since I did a door yesterday, thought I would followup today with another one – will return to more current work probably tomorrow. I took pictures of this door in Savannah on two occasions this spring. In fact it intrigued me so much I actually made a special trip into Savannah to photograph it again. I do not know what is on the other side, first question asked when people see the photographs.
The fountain in Forsyth Park is classic! What a great photographic subject. For more photographs of Savannah, go to: Photograph Savannah.

I took this series of photos about a year ago. There was a band playing on River Street in Savannah, GA and were asking for donations from those taking photographs, a little different approach. I had a great time taking photographs and donated a couple of dollars to the cause. Unfortunately they were in the shade with some serious backlighting. I had to do a little editing and below am attaching both the color and black and white version of two photos. I find often in these cases that black and white is more forgiving than color.
Am really getting into street photography. As I was walking on River Street, in Savannah, GA a couple of days ago, I saw this lovely bride being photographed. I jumped in and took a couple of photos myself as they were preparing her for the next shot. Then I found that she was a model and they were doing a promotional shoot, what fun!
Since I like to convert these to black and white, gives them a more traditional look in my opinion, I will be posting most of these photos from now forward over at one of my other blogs:
