I have enjoyed working with this series of photographs! It was a gray day, so sky is boring in these landscapes, but I feel it actually adds to the composition.

I believe I first saw this farm in 1970, but never photographed it. Rediscovered in 2012 and took a few photos from the road, but could not find anyone to get permission to photograph on the property. On Thursday, I was able to get permission and took a series of photos and will be posting more in the near future. It was a gray day, so sky was boring, but good for doing some detail photos, no harsh shadows. I also did a Black And White version of this photo on Black And White Photo Images.

I took this on December 23, 2012, as Point Pleasant Beach was still cleaning up from Sandy and starting to work on rebuilding. I thought this photo was particularly interesting since it shows the pilings under the center building which support the structure.

I am working on posting from my iPad, it works, but am having problems with images. Please excuse me if images are missing for the next couple of days as I iron out this problem.
This is another Steamtown photo, taken from overhead walkway that leads to the Mall at Steamtown from the National Historic Site. This allows you to photograph lots of things from a raised level, including trains passing underneath, both Steamtown excursions and commercial traffic.

New Beginning – Old Project, Photo For June 1
Over a year ago I started the 365 -366 Project, and then life got a little crazy and I gave it up. Well, life is still crazy, but wanted to start back on this creative path!
Photography is about light, so the first photo is of a railroad, steam, engine headlight. The reflections symbolize what I will strive to achieve, a varied view of what I see and photograph. And one of the reflections is the photographer taking the photo.
Photograph taken with a Nikon D800 with a classic Nikkor 50mm – f1.4 lens (yes, it is manual focus – interesting). Location is Steamtown National Historic Site, two days ago.
